Fashion Week Hits Toronto

Designers show their Fall/Winter 2012 collections

By: Ashley Kowalewski

You know spring is in the air when World MasterCard Fashion Week makes its way to Toronto. What’s even better is when the weather matches the mood down at the Tents at David Pecaut Square, even if it’s giving us a look forward for what trends to watch for this coming fall.

Here are some of our favourite picks from Fashion Week, with some ensembles that are ready to go from the runway, right to the office!

On Monday night we saw Lucian Matis strut down the runway, both showing many great options to give you that runway edge, while still looking office appropriate.

Tuesday night brought Lundström, which with the delicate and romantic jewel-studded hair, showcased some neutral pieces that would look great together, or as separates.

On Wednesday we saw Line, which showed more business-casual options, with a funky feel to them. Billowing fabrics and brighter colours set them apart from many of the other Fall/Winter 2012 shows, as most of them stuck to neutrals.

Pink Tartan took to the runway on Thursday night and showed that you can still wear white after Labour Day, especially when white comes in a beautiful sweater dress and jacket. Pink Tartan also showed us pieces that could flawlessly be worn from the office to a party.

  1. I was just searching for this info for some time. After six hours of continuous Googleing, finally I got it in your site. I wonder what is the lack of Google strategy that don’t rank this kind of informative web sites in top of the list.

  2. wow! i love how the soft textures here work so well with the cream and the grey. so pretty. and sporty? either way: beautiful photograph.
